Over 100 guests, made up of active and retired FDNY firefighters and their families, enjoyed a visit from FDNY Engine 329, sports, a bouncy castle, glitter tattoos, t-shirt making, BBQ, and so much more at Fort Tilden Park in Rockaway, Queens on July 24. With the 9/11 anniversary upon us, we are reminded that disaster can strike at any time. Listen, Protect, and Connect is an easy-to-use approach that anyone can use when responding to others who have experienced a crisis of any level. The workshop, in partnership with the Mental Health Association of NY, is open to active and retired FDNY firefighters and family members.
