Will you help?

Dear Lawrence,

Libraries are like fuel, powering us and our neighbors to new and spectacular places.

Go to your neighborhood library and you'll see your neighbors checking out free books and learning information on every topic under the sun — and some books that reach beyond the solar system.

To fill our shelves with books (we always need more books), and keep our branches cool and functional all summer long, we depend on the support of donors like you.

Help us reach our $160,000 goal by making your gift to The New York Public Library. Don't forget — until July 10, your gift will be matched.

Right now is also a great time to give because summer is always unusually busy. It's cool in the library, and it's a safe place.

The library is a haven for kids who love to read. Actually, our librarians see a lot of kids who come in here to use the computer but eventually they start shying away from the computer and picking up books instead.

A lot of things in the world are complex. But the importance of the library is not that complicated. Libraries help kids and adults, in little and big ways. That's just all there is to it.

You can make it all possible with your tax deductible gift. Plus, this is your opportunity to double your difference since every donation made will be matched 100% by a generous donor. Give today!

Libraries are the place to go when you want to learn, grow, and succeed — from providing access to computers and Wi-Fi to job search support, resume help, and a variety of educational programs. Thanks for supporting us, and making our work possible!

Sincerely,

Jessica Cassidy
