NYC Fire Wire would like to bid a farewell, Rest in Peace to retired Paramedic Richard Fox, NYC*EMS. Rich is now in a better place as he has been living retirement in excruciating pain. I never met him personally, but our friendship started when we were on that 9/11 fraud, Vinny Forras' case. Rich was a 9/11 1st responder and a big advocate for those suffering from 9/11 related illness. Rich's pain and suffering wasn't 9/11 related. Over his years of service to the City of New York, he has saved countless lives, giving them a chance to see another day. For that, no one can ever re-pay you enough. We know that you were welcomed with open arms up there, you can now live eternally pain free. Please watch over all of those who follow in your footsteps, don the uniform every day and perform gods work here on earth. Here's to you, brother.

  • Will Merrins Rich was a class act. A strong advocate that gave a voice to many 9/11 responders that fell ill as he fought for their rights and their health. A compassionate paramedic and a true Gentleman. Rich will be missed and the young generations of providers who will follow the path he laid ground to will be at a loss for never meeting this fine man.
What could this be?
Tomorrow, we will be making some waves with some big news. Follow the UFA on Twitter and be the first to know: http://twitter.com/UFANYC
