  • Tom Allen The lack of being in shape to fight fires is a very large cause of these cardiac events. Whether you're a professional firefighter or a volunteer your life depends on your health and the ability to work under the stress that fighting fires ours in your body. When you get everyone in the fire service to workout to improve their health the number of deaths caused by cardiac events will decrease.
