A Fla. firefighter's turnout gear was hit by a bullet during an ambush and a firefighter miraculously escaped injury after falling through a roof are included in the top video close calls of 2014.
The videos also show fellow firefighters rescuing one of their own after getting stuck on a window ledge and an FDNY firefighter shaking off an injury after being struck on the head by a ladder at a house fire.

Officers exchanged gunfire with the suspect until the suspect was shot and killed; there was also holes in the apparatus.

The clip is from a truck fire in Memphis, Tennessee. According to officials, the firefighter was OK.
