Sunday, Rescue 2 and members of the FDNY gathered along with the Woodmere Volunteer Fire Department and surrounding departments to memorialize Lt Pete "Vulcan" Lund who was killed in the line of duty 10 years ago in a fire in his hometown Woodmere NY. Pete had 30 years in the FDNY, with a majority of that time spent in the Rescue Company's. Pete retired in 2003 as Lieut. of Rescue 2. Did anyone catch this comment made by the president of the United Women's Firefighters group. This is the same individual who has been pushing hard for women who didn't pass the academy to still graduate. We're not sure what 'White Privilege is'... is that the same as working hard for a goal and earning your place?
