The PACS or cohabiting couples will now have the same rights as married couples in case of work accident

Significant progress on the issue of the right of unmarried couples: from now on, in case of accident or occupational disease causing death, the surviving spouse or partner it pacsé enjoy the same rights to pensions paid to the beneficiaries. This alignment has become applicable, the Gazette has published the decree on Saturday.

In reality, this desire alignment did not start today: the law of financing of social security already provided in 2012 to align the rights of the partners of a Civil Solidarity Pact (PACS) and cohabiting on those spouses for access to a pension for work accident.Missing only the implementing decree which took three years to arrive ... This is now done.

The amount paid in this type of tragic situation represents 40% of annual salary of the deceased. It is allocated to the surviving spouse until his death. He had previously married, now a PACS, or proof of cohabitation situation enough to enjoy this right. The children were also entitled to the payment of a premium to their 20 years.
