I Want to Spend All My Money at This Science Nerd Gift Shop
There’s a new one-stop shop for nerdy science gifts, and I’m legitimately concerned it’s going to eviscerate my savings.
GeekWrapped is a brand-new curation site that aggregates a fantastically cool array of science-related toys and gifts, using referrals from partner websites like Etsy and Amazon. Looking for a small holiday trinket to pass out to your co-workers? Why not an interstellar lollipop or a human brain soap bar? Need a last-minute housewarming gift for a friend? A T-rex skull shower head ought to do the trick! Maybe you’ve got a really special nerd in your life, and it’s time to double down on your relationship with a $350 octopus tentacle necklace. (Hey, no judgement here).
Oh, and the best part about it? Fifty percent of GeekWrapped sales revenue gets donated to science education institutions, including the American Association for the Advancement of Science, the Smithsonian Institute, the Planetary Society, and the Society for Science and the Public. So, if you’re feeling a tad guilty about all the awesome shit you suddenly need to buy, just remember—you’re doing it for science!
That’s my story at least, and I’m sticking to it.
