Today, as part of CPR Week 2015 the FDNY CPR Unit & EMT Siren are in Times Square participating in a compression-only CPR relay organized by the American Heart Association.
It is FDNY Medal Day tomorrow, recognizing members whose acts of heroism and sacrifice provide example to us all and reinforce the Department's tradition of bravery its service to all those who work, visit and live in New York City.
Yesterday, FDNY members and staff participated in the Bronx Puerto Rican Day Parade, marching alongside the #FDNY150 vehicles. Thank you for having us!
FDNY Commissioner and senior staff are testifying at the City Council about the proposed Fiscal Year 2016 budget. Including historic funds for EMS, allocations for women's and veterans outreach coordinators, funds for replacement bunker gear and support vehicles, and resources for improving the FDNY 911 system.
