We remember the five people who died and 88 who were injured in the Purley rail crash on this day in 1989. At this exact time, the 12:50 from Horsham was hit from behind by 12:17 from Littlehampton.
Our thoughts are also with all the emergency service crews who worked tirelessly to help people at the scene.
