Dear EMS1 Subscriber,
Some EMS instructors are known for elaborate simulations. Maybe you've responded for the fictional bus filled with asthmatic children on their way to hemophiliac sleep-away camp that crashes when the driver has a heart attack?
Perhaps those simulations prepare us for the worst case scenarios that play out in real life. Today we have news of a Boston EMS SUV that crashed after its brakes failed, burst into flames, and finally exploded; and a car plowed into a Miss. building storing a 150-pound chlorine gas cylinder.

We also share remembrances from colleagues of Pa. paramedic Janice Livingston. She was killed Monday in a secondary collision as she responded to a school bus and delivery vehicle collision.
