Jack E. Leonard
Jack E. Leonard was a very funny stand up comedian who pioneered a form of humor that was more or less part classical standup and part "insult humor" ( the master of the insult humor was of course Don Rickles).
Like a lot of people who just played on clubs and on TV shows (like Johnny Carson), he left no really indelible mark-- but was great to have around when he was there.

Jack E. Leonard was an American comedian whose sarcastic insult-based humor was imitated by Don Rickles.
Born Leonard Lebitsky on April 24, 1910, Leonard made his show business
bones as a nightclub comedian and became well-known to the public for
his appearances on TV variety and game show after breaking through on The Jack Paar Tonight Show (1957).
In addition to his night club act and TV gigs, he made comedy records. On the night of May 9, 1973, Leonard suffered a heart attack after a performance at New York's Rainbow Room and died the next day after undergoing cardiac bypass surgery. He was 63 years old.

Collapsed just after coming off-stage at a performance at the
Rainbow Room at New York's Rockefeller Center. Died in hospital early
the next day.
