Because I sometimes park my car in Tudor City in the evenings, I've been here a bunch of times when returning the next morning. I stick to my usual breakfast sandwiches, gum, and other basic packaged sundries, so can't comment on anything outside that. I don't do any of my "real" grocery shopping here because I live on 2nd ave, much closer to larger, and better options.
I don't have any complaints, but delis & convenience stores like these are a dime a dozen, and Tudor Farm falls right in the middle of my spectrum...Decent selection, mediocre interior/design, but friendly staff. -

New York, NYThis deli/convenience store is filthy. I don't think anything is kept at the proper temperature. If you want a reason to be home from work, come get a chicken sandwich at tudor farms.....you just might get salmonella. The only thing I will buy here is a pack of trident. Good luck to you! -

Portsmouth, NHi'm actually kind of surprised that nobody has reviewed this place yet. it's one of two small groceries that services the tudor city community, not including a gristedes on 2nd ave. the other grocery is in 5 tudor city and doesn't have a storefront, so i'm sure not a lot of people know about it. tudor farm is much bigger and pretty much carries all your necessary grocery products. the front half of the store has generic deli-type by-the-pound prepared food, and the back has snacks, crackers, cleaning supplies, etc. what's more impressive is the drink selection-- the fridge wraps around almost the entire store, so they have more than just the regular coca cola products.
overall i'd give this place 3.5 stars-- more than average but not great. they have a small selection of pretty much anything you need, but no frills. prices are that of any small grocery-- more expensive than its nearby gristedes counterpart, but not so outrageous that you'd prefer to shop there.
if you get the prepared food, there is an excess of beautiful parks in the area to eat your lunch: the tudor gardens, of course, but you can also take the spiraling stairs down to 1st ave and look at the oppressive glass faced UN, or walk to the intersection of tudor city pl and 41st and sit on the benches overlooking long island city. this last one is sort of time-sensitive, though, because there's a huge skyscraper going up on that block, so take advantage while you can. -
