(At the same time, the shaved-head look has also become fashionable, the salvation of many really badly balding men)
Anyway, as you might expect, the Yelpers who visit this supercuts are pretty critical about how it worked out...mixed reviews as you would expect, including the inevitable " they butchered my hair."
But read for yourself

New York, NYBeen here twice. Okay haircuts, not as good as the ones I got at the now-closed Upper West Side location (Daisy, where are you?). -

New York, NYThis place is horrible. Do not go here. They told me they only cut hair dry and my hair ended up different lengths on each side of my head. When I told the guy he just talked back to me and told me to "calm down sweetie". I guess at supercuts you get what you pay for. I would pay 5 times the cost of the haircut to get my hair back. -

Queens, NYJust got a haircut here during my lunch break.
- The place was empty so I could immediately sit down. (It's also clean and well-lit.)
- The woman who took me (sorry for not asking your name!) was fast and efficient and got me out with enough time to head back to work.
- My hair was cut to a great length. I really love it.
As someone who just wanted something easy to take care of, 5" taken off, and done within an hour, this is an ideal place. I'd come back again. -

Super friendly staff! Definitely a good place to go if you're in a rush to get a hair cut and you dont want to try something new. The cuts were a little less than 25 bucks and they were pretty quick about it.
They kept up the conversation really well too! Great music and a good location. -

Manhattan, NYThis place is very hit or miss to the point of being unbearable. And by "hit" I simply mean not awful. Last week was my last visit there. There were 5 employees and two customers when I popped in; three of the employees were standing around and chatting (about their recent person-life drama, one was actually coloring her own hair--I kid you not), while I waited there for over an hour!@&? being told repeatedly that they'd be with me shortly. The only reason I didn't walked out was because I finally had a free hair cut to redeem. Having reluctantly gone here for the past few months, it's gotten to point that saving a few extra dollars just isn't worth the aggravation. Strongly urge you to stay away! -

More expensive than the one I normally go to in Hoboken (surprise) at $19 vs $16, but they also did a better job and I was able to go during lunch.
Conversation got unexpectedly weird at times, but I guess these are the Madoff nashing, Obama loving, WTF is Rhianna doing? times we live in. -

New York, NYTotally overcharged. I got a trim (she did NO styling-a 1/2" off the back and an 1/8" off my bangs) and a very poor blowout with no product and no flat ironing, and it cost me $60. I could get a real haircut for that price. DIdn't even get a shampoo, because I just had a keratin treatment 2 weeks before and they didn't have any keratin shampoo.
It really was a terrible blow out. I've done better myself. -

Somersworth, NHI have been to Supercuts before, but this one was just GREAT. Seriously, I even made a mark on it for when I decide to come back to get another haircut. I was going from a bob to a pixie cut, I brought in a photo. Ive had the cut before, but never this nice! The girl really listened to everything I had to say and did the haircut PERFECTLY.
I wish I wrote her name down so I could give her a shout out in this post, but all I can say is she had blonde hair extensions and a big flower in her hair. She was really nice too! I recommend it. -

Manhattan, NYReally depends on the barber. I have gotten several fine haircuts here, but some of them have been really bad and uneven. There are cheaper places you can go to in NYC for a haircut that will give you the same quality, or better. -

I was very wary since this Supercuts didn't have great Yelp reviews, but I desperately needed a haircut and I don't want to spend more than $25...yes, that sounds cheap, but I'd rather spend my money on expensive meals. I had a great experience though. I went on a rainy day during lunchtime...there were only two stylists working, but the wait was only about 10 minutes. It was actually just a bunch of men (going for quick cuts, I'm sure) and myself. I had a really nice stylist, who listened to what I wanted and offered some suggestions when I asked her opinion. I had a wash and cut and was out of there in 30 minutes...exactly what I wanted. And I love my haircut! They took my super long straight hair and gave me a nice shoulder length layered look. -

Brooklyn, NYI just went during my lunch break to get a haircut. It's obviously not a fancy place but for a cheap, quick, trim it was fine.
The staff is very friendly and they seem to know what they are doing. I would go back again. -

New York, NYGot my hair done today by Lindsay, she did an amazing job. I got a little color and flat iron and cut. My hair has not looked this good in years. It is rare to find someone to do exactly what you want and need done but now I found the right person and I will go back again. -

Queens, NYI really don't like Supercuts. Anyone who knows me knows I love a bargain, but this place isn't even cheap. It's just gross. -
