Well, they DO have separate reviews for the Langone Center which are different ( and not half as good) as for the Center overall. I will just run the overall reviews
I have to note that I have had experience with the ER at NYU twice and on both occasions it was TERRIBLE. But I have found almost all ER's to be terrible and to be avoided at all costs ( but when you are in an accident, what can you do?)

I was very impressed with the medical facility and staff here. As my fiancee' had a surgical procedure here recently we were a little concerned after reading other reviews, but our minds were put at ease quickly upon arrival.
The nursing and administrative staff here were pretty impressive, helpful, and caring. It made a tough two days tolerable for us, as after surgery we had to wait all day for a room for overnight stay, and she was stuck on a gurney in the recovery room for almost 12 hours. If not for the overcrowding and long wait for a room this would have been a 5 star review from me, but NYU needs to figure out a better way to take care of this situation. It's crazy. Yet, it was fun watching everything go on around us as it resembled a scene out of Grey'a Anatomy on tv. Where was Dr McDreamy and Dr McSteamy?
Our recovery room nurse (Brooke) who was assigned to us was wonderful, and they were just as great when she was being discharged late Saturday afternoon going over everything we need to know for home recovery. The staff here at NYU Medical Center were terrific. Her doctor also did a fabulous job and the procedure went well.
I would not hesitate at all coming back here in an emergency or for a medical procedure as they are top-notch. Plus, no staph infection so that is a bonus! -

Today, I went into the ER to get my foot checked out. A cab railed me (while I was on my bike) yesterday and I fell on my left foot. I waited an hour in the waiting room (not so terrible) and then a doctor, without even touching my foot, gave me release papers to sign and told me I could go (after I sat there for another hour and a half). On my way home, my foot hurt too badly to walk to the subway stop--- so I hailed a taxi. FML. -

This hospital hails excellent doctors and a good facility for patients. It's one of the best private hospitals I've experienced. The security is tight for patients. Due to it's location near the FDR Drive, on major holidays as July 4th, Labor Day patients enduring a long-term hospitalization have an excellent view of the Macy's Fireworks show along the East River. The rooms either lack air conditioner or heat, as it's too cold or too hot never room temperature.
I rate it four stars due to the long haul distance from the MTA Subway as it's a very long walk from the 6 Train's 33rd station. It's best to either access a taxi or get a ride from someone especially if you're a patient. -

Queens, NYAs pleasant a hospital experience as one could have. I came here to visit a private office and get a second opinion for a herniated disc in my neck. With my impeccably bad luck, the disc compressed a nerve and surgery to fix it was imminent at that point. The surgeon at NYU gave me an option that 2 others hadn't, and admitted me to the hospital for the procedure that day!
I can't speak for the emergency room, but every nurse and doctor I met once I was admitted to the hospital went above and beyond to make you comfortable. The doctors were all excellent at explaining the condition and what exactly they were going to do to alleviate it. A month later, I am much better off than I expected to be, thanks to the spine surgeons at this hospital.
There is even a parking garage with reasonable rates across the street and an awesome cafeteria and tea bar to make your family comfortable. Highly recommended. -

I don't mean to be ironic or jinx myself but the ER at this facility was really fun and a great experience. I know.. strange.
I had never even set foot in a hospital EVER but one night I had a crazy allergic reaction and I live across the street so I hoofed it to this ER.
I was helped RIGHT away... literally I saw the triage nurse in less than 5 minutes after filling out my paperwork. 5 minutes after the friendly nurse helped me, I was ushered into the treatment area by a helpful nurse who also directed my friend who was coming to keep me company to the back where I was being treated.
The service was quick and easy, and the doctor was well-informed and friendly.
Sidenote, the DRs in this ER were super duper attractive. I'm not sure if they submitted a headshot with their MCAT scores, but that's what it looks like.
I recommend this hospital to anyone! -

New York, NYI am not fan of the hospital, but definitely a fan of its cafe :D They serve unbelievably diversified food as a small cateen. Pasta, noodle, stir-fired rice, salad (all kinds of salad), soups, sausage, beef, chicken, bacon...bread, bagel, cheese cake (my favorite)....you name it! I have to say that the soup tastes surprisingly well, or maybe I was just hungry then :P
As to the hospital itself...two things i may have little problem with: first, long wait for the elevators, and second, even longer wait for me to be called by the doctor....ZZzzzzz, but i could always take a nap at the big, huge, natty, comfortable waiting area :) -

New York, NYI have to say that while the doctors are generally excellent, the staff members, particularly those who work in the private offices in the hosptial, are for the most part - IDIOTS.
This is a good hospital - it is just not in a league with NY Presbyterian.
I am beginning to believe the negative reviews of this hospital. The staff members are very rude.
The people in the billing department are beyond stupid. -
