I thought I had run something on it once before, but could not find anything..
Here is run down of typical reviews from Yelp--Hey, highly rated, except for one person (whose review I do not include, enough to mention it-- who says " It's OK I guess.").(I left in the person who said, " Better than OK but not great.")/
The good reviews, however, mention older posts which condemn the place for poor service. Well, that seems to be a thing of the past as far as I can see...but you never know.
Again, cannot endorse it exactly, but seems to be doing pretty well with its intended market

Manhattan, NYEverything is beyond ok, but not great.
4 stars for nice service, quiet environment, and 5 for the mussel appetizer with the fixed lunch menu and the complimentary cookie after lunch! Can I also give 2 for the so called steak with the fixed menu? It is rather stewed beef and stewed poorly. You may delete it from the menu, I suggest.
As previous yelper said, it is definitely good for business lunch.
By the way the prix fixe is about 25, I remember. -

Chicago, ILI felt like I was playing tennis while sitting here - trying to return the ball politely each time the server tried to serve hard in upselling soups, appetizers, dessert, coffee after we kept saying no no no.
Their gnocchi was not bad but the highlight was really the biscotti they brought out at the end of the meal. It wasn't the crispy kind, just fresh and chewy. -

New York, NY$20 prix fixe brunch??? YESSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
When I first yelped brunch places in Manhatty I saw someone write "The complimentary banana bread was delicious." ----ummmm SOLD. Any place that has comp banana bread has to have other fantastic items! I got the Eggs Benedict (phenom) and mimosa, and honestly it was one of the best brunches I ever had. That bread basket is the gift that keeps giving.
Staff was sooo friendly and helpful (and attractive!). Make reservations! or just show up....the experience is still 5 stars worthy. -

Staten Island, NYWe've been going to Cibo for the past 10 years. They never disappoint us. The food and service is excellent. It's a great place to meet friends and family. They never rush you and most of all they treat you with the utmost respect. The weekend brunches are the best. Great value for New York City. -
Review from Michael S.
New York, NYMost of the negative reviews here seem to focus on poor service, which is a shocker as I have never experienced anything but top notch service at Cibo. In point of fact the service here is so excellent I recently took a new Manhattanite here so she could experience great service, as I find most other restaurants are lacking in the department.
The dinners here are great, but this place truly shines when it comes to brunch. There is the $20.00 price fix brunch which comes with a drink, starter, and entree, or you can order a la carte. The drinks are stiff, the meals delicious, and the service impeccable. The past three brunches they had some Sinatra playing softly in the background. Overall a terrific experience, especially if you're looking for a more relaxing brunch experience vis-a-vis the drunken insanity that is your typical Manhattan brunch experience.
Oh - and they make fresh fruit gelato daily. Perfect post-meal palate cleanser. -

Bronx, NYService was excellent.
My lunch was perfect! I have tried everything on their menu and never had a bad dish!!! -

Manhattan, NYI was surprised at all the negative reviews about the service at Cibo. Our waiter was fantastic, attentive but gave us our space. Very knowledgeable about the wine choices. This was the perfect place to spend Mother's Day with a large family, and the prix fixe was a big plus. -

Honolulu, HIPerfect place for our "After Wedding Brunch". I booked this place on a recommendation from a friend, and after talking with them on the phone, I knew this place would work out! It's hard to find places in NYC that can hold a Sunday Brunch for 25 people, but this place rocked it! We got our own private area for our guests so that we could talk and mingle! The Sunday Brunch for a large group (minimum of 25) was $45 a person (cheaper if you pay in cash!), but came with a drink (mimosa or bloody mary), an appetizer, a main course, and a dessert. Trust me, you aren't going to be hungry after this one!!! A great hang-over cure! Great food, great service! Definitely a great place for a large group and great Sunday Brunch!
Parking available around the corner and conveniently located in midtown! Thank you Cibo for your service and great food! They also personalized the menu for us! :)
