Alexandria, VAStayed 3 nights during the most recent heatwave in NY and wanted to try a new neighborhood having stayed in Murray Hill or midtown on prior trips.
We were in the smallest rooms-1111- in the corner but size was average for this price range of NY hotel rooms (the floor plan of the hotel is on the fire escape map in the elevators.) So if you want a bigger room don't get ones ending in 11! However starting on the 12th floor this corner room has window facing the river!
We were pleased overall with our stay- it was QUIET! Yes no noise through the walls at all. Some doors slamming down the hall but that was it.
The King bed was great- room clean with contemp decor- bathroom nicely updated and clean with a real shower curtain, not the glass panel mentioned in other rev's-although the lounge chair was not well suited for long movies!
We did not get a view of Q-boro bridge or East River but you are 5 min walk to the Greenway (riverside walk/bike path)
Coffee/muffins for sale in the lobby cafe were good though its definitely not Starbucks (weak) but prices were the same as local coffee shops.
We did use a few minibar items and were charged appropriately.
Good selection of restaurants and shops on 1st street and beyond. We had breakfast at Ritz Diner one block west.-

I loved this place. My kid, not so much. The rooms are new and clean so comfortable!
Breakfast is offered onsite and you can watch the Roosevelt Tram crossing overhead.
Cool place. Also very close to Sloan Kettering. -

East Lansing, MISpent the past weekend at the Bentley Hotel and had a wonderful time. It was my Bachelorette weekend so we booked several rooms and had a total of 9 very particular guests.
The rooms were decent sized for NYC and we had spectacular views in rooms on the 19th floor. The staff were very accommodating, pleasant and prompt-- housekeeping is also no-joke. I thought I was in the wrong room, when we returned to the room-- it was that clean. As mentioned in other reviews the walls are thin, and someone in the next room may have tried to give us a gentle reminder, by banging on the walls. I took it to mean they liked our getting-ready-togo-out song, since it was only 5:00pm and let them enjoy the rest.
The bathrooms were spotless and extra towels were delivered promptly. We also needed an empty fridge for rx and snacks and they sent it up immediately.
I think the new breakfast bar (not buffet) was lacking in overall ambiance and accessibility. Like, I wouldnt have known to ask about it, had it not been stamped across the homepage. That said, the options were limited and they could benefit from a larger selection and a more inviting location. We didnt make it up to the restaurant, so I cant speak on the buffet.
We were a 10 minute walk from Lexington and 15 from Central Park/Plaza area, which was great. Lots of little gems along the way, including several restaurants, Starbucks and a $10 Psychic.
I would definitely stay again. -

It's a good priced hotel with an awesome view of the Queensboro bridge.
The rooms are always cleaned before we got back and the staff is friendly and helpful. We had food delivered from restaurants in the area and they sent the couriers right up to our room.
Requested ice and a new iron from front desk- expect about a 5-10 min wait.
The bathroom is small but it is clean. They have a dryer on hand.
Walls are extremely thin. So bring ear plugs if you're a light sleeper.
Fridge along with any other power source stays on with the insertion of a key card in the power slot.
The thing that sucks is that this place is far from tourist attractions. BUT it is close to Central Park and (Lexington and 59th) which is a subway station for train 3 that can take you to uptown and downtown if you ride it uptown it can go as far as Bronx and downtown to Brooklyn.
Each room has a working thermostat that works fast in quick temperature change. I had it set for cold at night and warm in the AM.
The best part about this room is the view. It's a breath-taking view.
The staff was super friendly and offered a check out time later at 1pm instead of 12. They even offer a shuttle service in a black lincoln "cab" to and from the airport. We paid $35 flat rate, no meter, and using a yellow taxi, it would have cost near $45 without tip. The gentleman driving was super friendly, he seemed genuine and we gave him a good tip for that.-

Bristow, VAFor the price you pay for this hotel room - They could at least make the shower head not super sonic so that it sprays water ALL OVER THE BATHROOM - since they only have HALF of a glass door that DOES NOT MOVE.....
Check out is noon but it took them over an hour to bring us new towels (since they only give TWO "Large" TOWELS) so we couldn't check out til after that and they of course kept knocking on the door asking us if we were ready to check out.......
The beds were not comfortable at all - and to keep the room warm, you have to turn on the old and loud heater which kept waking me up throughout the night.
The rooms are super super small, you barely have enough room to walk around.....
Definitely wouldn't stay here again unless I had a groupon or something....
