When it says "In Sutton Place," of course, it means in the Sutton Place neighborhood, not on Sutton Place itself...  

Unfortunately, none of this tells us as much as we would like to know about the building--who the architect was, how it was built as the Depression was rolling in, when it became a Co-op and all sorts of information like that.
