The Reddit user r/jfreedo has made a bunch of maps that break down sports allegiances across the country, rendered in an old-timey map way.
This very cool one shows how the NFL fandom breaks down across the country. I love the pocket of Raiders fans in Southern California, just waiting for that team to come back to Los Angeles. (Sadly, it looks like that is happening.) And who knew the Broncos controlled the entire Mountain Time Zone?
My biggest question and concern is: What’s happening in those white gaps in the map? Were those areas not polled? Do they not care for football? DO PEOPLE LIVE THERE?
