The Vietnamese government expects electricity demand to reach 360 billion kWh (kilowatt per hour) in 2020, compared to a projected 210 kWh in 2015. In line with the rising demand, total investment for the power sector is estimated to reach US$48.8 billion in 2020 and nearly $75 billion in the period from 2021 to 2030.
