A Hungarian camerawoman is going down kicking and screaming.
Petra Laszlo, a video journalist in Hungary, was fired after she was caught tripping and kicking Syrian migrants, including children, in September. But she said she's not going down without a fight.
Now, she plans on hitting Facebook and the father she tripped in court, the Russian newspaper Izvestia reported.
Laszlo said she is suing the social network for allegedly deleting groups that supported her, but keeping pages threatening her online. She said she complained to Facebook but got no action.
One of the groups is the "Petra Laszlo Shame Wall," which currently has more than 10,000 likes on Facebook.
She also wants to sue the Syrian refugee she tripped, who was carrying a child. The migrant was identified as Osama Abdul Mohsen, a Syrian soccer coach who was welcomed into Spain to rebuild his career, The Guardian reported.
She blamed the refugee for changing his testimony in her trial. "My husband wants to prove my innocence. For him, it is now a matter of honor," she said.
Footage showed Laszlo behaving dishonorably, as clips showed her swinging at migrants and children with her furious kicks, in addition to her not-so inconspicuous tripping.
She wrote in an apology letter that she attacked the Syrian migrants out of fear.
"I was scared as the crowd rushed toward me, and then something snapped in me," Laszlo said in her letter. "I'm not a heartless, racist, children-kicking camerawoman."
She said her life was broken because of this clip, and plans on moving to Russia after her trial.
