WALGREENS DOES IT AGAIN

I cannot believe how Walgreens has screwed up another one of my on line orders.

This one, Order 2325070--

I called yesterday and told them about all the incredible difficulties I had had with not getting packages from them and then when I called them they claimed adamantly that the packages had been delivered to me.

First I talked to a very snippy young man who said the order hadn't been shipped yet and to call back later ( the email I got said it HAD been shipped).

When I called back later I got some female airhead ( very young it sounded) who asked for the order number. I gave her the number that was on the email I had received.

"That's NOT an order number! " She cried very testily. I checked and found another number, labeled "Fulfilment."

She then told me the package would be coming on Friday, Sept. 4. but she did not know who would be doing the delivery.

I called back later with the bright idea of giving them my landline and cell phone numbers and express instructions on how to deliver the package.

I live in a kind of gated community of apt bldgs, where however, they do not accept packages at the front gate,
Or, as I was informed in the ugly guttural Israeli snarl of the woman manager here " I should be responsible for your package? Oh, no!"

This morning I called Walgreens again and was placed on hold endlessly. I was calling because I wanted to see if they could get the delivery people ( whoever they might be-- I was told the package might also come USPS, in which case I would not have been worried, because they leave a note if you are not home so you can pick up at the package at the local post office).

Now, I got another airhead young woman who said, " Oh, your package was delivered at the front gate of your building at 9:47 this morning."

I glanced at my watch. 9:54.

"Let me go see what is happening, I said." She was clueless about what I meant after my having described the whole situation to her.

I went down to first floor on my building. IN THE VESTIBULE OF MY BUILDING I SAW A PACKAGE PLACED ON THE CORNER OF A LEDGE.

YEAH, IT WAS THE PACKAGE WHICH HAD BEEN SUPPOSEDLY BEEN LEFT AT THE FRONT GATE.

DURING THIS TIME, OF COURSE, NO DELIVERY PERSON HAD EVER CALLED ME ON EITHER PHONE AS I HAD GONE OUT OF MY WAY TO HAVE DONE.

AS DAVE, THE SECURITY MAN HERE TOLD ME, "THESE STUPID YOUNG DELIVERY GUYS JUST COME AND LEAVE THE PACKAGE ANYWHERE THEY FEEL LIKE IT. THEY MIGHT HAVE LEFT IT ON THE FLOOR OUTSIDE YOUR DOOR WITHOUT EVER HAVING EVEN EVER RUNG YOUR DOORBELL.,"

This is New York City, Harlem basically because of the NYCHA project next door. Anything left unattended someplace in the open is very likely to be lifted very soon by what someone has referred to as "undesirable types" , of whom of course this nabe has a ton. The squalid Frederick Douglass NYCHA project I mentioned next door ( across the street on which drug dealers brazenly do their business out in the open, day and night)

Types from this project regularly try to slip through the front gate here. They succeed fairly often. They will stand outside the gate and act very much like they live here and when someone comes out, they will slip in, smiling, through the now open door. The so called security people here ( outside of Dave) somehow never see this.

This building itself is not much better. There is a black family on the first floor that has several feral street urchin kids who regularly play hob with the lock on the front door so their miscreant friends can walk in. They also play incredibly loud hideous "music" fairly often. The mother of the family (single of course) goes and smokes in the fire stairwell of this "smoke free" building.

The majority of people living here are not like these people, but there ARE others like them. Plus the slumdog types who manage to infiltrate the place.

By the way, I tried having my packages sent to a local Walgreens  where they got "lost" all the time. Yes, it was a store owned and staffed by sleazy minority group people. 

I am not saying all minority group people are thieves, but you can draw your own conclusions.

I suppose I should pray for all these people, who have grown up in NYC lawlessness and squalor and know not really what they do. It is part of their natural ways they learn here ( or would in parts of Detroit, St, Louis, Chicago or any other big American city).

No wonder such a staggering number of minority  youth have felong convictions by the time they are 25 years old, limiting their chances for all sorts of employment.

Liberals want all sorts of requirements waved so people like this can become NYC cops and firemen. Typical. No wonder Donald Trump gets so much support, even though he is a loose cannon if you ask me.
