The IAFF is deeply concerned with current delays in the processing of PSOB benefits and is actively working with the Administration, others in the fire community and its friends in Congress to remedy the situation.
As of August, 750 families are caught waiting for a decision from the federal program despite years of audits calling for speeding up processing of the payments to families of fallen public safety officers.
