Wirtualna Polska portal reportedly getting ready for IPO
March 5, 2015
Financial investors want to sell some 15-20% of the company.
Additionally, the company will issue a similar amount of new shares.
Money garnered from the IPO will be spent on acquisitions and investments in new technologies and the team, a person familiar with the matter said.
Shareholders value the company at some PLN 1 billion, which brings the value of the IPO at some PLN 300 million.
If WP debuted on the WSE this year, this could be the largest IPO planned for 2015 after Raiffeisen, and the largest debut of a media company after the IPO of media group TVN. However, market rumors have it that the company may be sold to a large sector investor, such as Yahoo, Yandex and Alibaba.
