FDNY Honors Fire Prevention Inspectors
The Fire Prevention Inspectors recognized in the ceremony
The FDNY honored 25 men and women who keep NYC safe during the annual Bureau of Fire Prevention Recognition ceremony on Oct. 10.
“Each of you plays an important role in the life-saving mission of
the FDNY,” Fire Commissioner Daniel Nigro said. “Your work ensures the
safety of the city’s residents and every FDNY member.”
The members were selected from among the thousands of men and women
who work in the various bureaus of Fire Prevention. These men and women
inspect buildings throughout the five boroughs, keeping New Yorkers and
FDNY members safe.
The honored inspectors work in units throughout the Bureau
“You all have made Fire Prevention what it is today,” said Chief of
Department Edward Kilduff. “You all deserve a lot of credit, because you
are contributing to the wellbeing of New York City.”
The ceremony also served as a welcome, to 12 new inspectors.
“You all do a terrific job,” Chief of Fire Prevention Thomas Jensen said. “You make me proud. Keep up the good work.”
