It's going to get worse before it gets better: that was the verdict of America's leading disease expert last week, as he visited the West African countries struggling with the worst Ebola epidemic on record.

Liberia has the highest death toll so far — and the biggest community of Liberians outside Africa live in Staten Island.

The BBC’s Matt Wells went along to find out how they're responding to the health crisis back home.
