27/06/14 - EU leaders eventually appointed Jean-Juncker as the new
president of the European Commission. The outgoing Belgian PM Di Rupo is
a fan and would support Juncker's bid, he said on Friday morning before
the decision was taken. The EU also signed a pact with Georgia,
Moldavia and Ukraine, while Stubb sent the British a wake-up call.

27/06/14 - EU dignitaries assembled in the city of Ieper before the
actual start of the European summit. In a symbolic visit, they attended a
Last Post ceremony and highlighted peace before having dinner in the
Ieper city hall, which was completely devastated during the Great War
some 100 years ago.
