Work crews are always digging up the streets around here for some reason or other.Recent survey of NYC residents found that of 20 or so aspects of the city, lowest rated were roads ( for potholes) and public schools.
NYC spends an enormous amount on the public schools but it never seems to be enough....trying to cater to all different kinds of kids, from hundreds of different ethnic backgrounds.
Class size apparently gets bigger every year, that seems to be one of the major problems.
