The Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA) has announced a new five-year plan to increase the number of families who receive MDA care and support by 50 percent to 150,000 individuals annually by the year 2020. The organization also plans to increase funding for research toward drug development, and clinical trials to help find treatments and cures for muscular dystrophy and other related diseases. The initiative was discussed at a special event at Carnegie Hall in New York City Friday. Celebrities such as NBC Today Show co-host and anchor Natalie Morales, and TNT's Ernie Johnson participated in the announcement. At the big event, the MDA also unveiled a new logo and tagline.

Steve Mathis Typical trend in most cities. Since I retired in 2015 my former employer has reduced staffing by 10% through attrition with no plans to replaced those of us who retired. Run volume continues to increase with less manpower available to handle the load. Education requirements continue to rise with little time do it all.
