Kevin Daley How much counterweight did the vehicle/crane have on it? In the video, it seemed obvious that this would happen? Were the operators experienced? Where did they train? Weren't any engineers on site overseeing this? It looked like an accident waiting to happen. My condolences to the friends and family of those killed. My prayers for speedy recovery for those injured.

Mark Mark I am thankful that it did not cause more injuries, death, and damage. While it is unfortunate that one person lost their life, three were injured, and there was property damaged; it could have been so much worse. I am curious to find what the investigation will find.

Dave Drake This could have been so much worse. Heartfelt prayers to those directly effected by this horrible incident. God bless the FDNY & NYPD for dealing with such a disaster.
Philip Eskelin Can't thank you guys enough for what you do. Saw that crane looming over the Western Union building just minutes before it came down, then listened to you deal with it on the radio. Total order and control. THANKS!!

JC Adia Comm. Nigro you a complete moron for lowering physical fitness tests for you probationary firemen to accommodate women. You are putting peoples lives in danger and you should be held accountable if anyone gets injured . If you can't do the job you shouldn't be a fireman. Wake you dummy.
