  • Judy Olson My family and I have walked this journey and it's one of the toughest battles to go through. My husband was an assistant fire chief killed in the line of duty by an arsonist set fire. I send my prayers to this firefighters family and fire department. God will stand beside each of you just as he did our family.
  • George Brandt My heart goes out to his family, his friends, and all his brothers and sisters in firefighting who are grieving his loss. I regret that I won't be able to attend this year's Firefighters Memorial at the Connecticut Fire Academy next month, but I'll certainly be there in spirit.

Or learn more about fire safety and equipment. Now they can't trust kids who come around, in fear of someone getting hurt or touching things they are told not to.

In a region which is typically "home rule", fire and emergency services often times are forced to beg and borrow to sustain their own existence. Until such time comes that municipal/county/state governments are willing to financially support these services, this issue will exist.
