Rescuers pulled out a firefighter who was trapped for 32 hours after responding to a fire and huge explosions in Tianjin. At least 17 firefighters are among the dead, 13 missing.
“During that evacuation process, firefighter Kevin Bell became entangled in a piece of furniture and wasn’t able to extricate himself and get out of building,” Hartford Assistant Fire Chief Scott Brady.

Questioning became particularly pointed when one board member noted that some professions require many hours of training while emergency responders face no across-the-board training requirement.
