Officer Chad Schroeder rode in the ambulance as Officer Kerrie Orozco took her last breaths. He sent us this message.

Terrible news from Omaha. Detective Kerrie Orozco was killed while protecting the public just hours before her delayed maternity leave. So sad. Here's a piece I altered in honor of Detective Orozco and her family. Rest easy Sister.

(repost...needed to make some indentification changes)
I'm hoping to get over to Europe and Australia within the next year to take some images and create some similar artwork for my Brothers and Sisters overseas. I recently was asked to create an art piece for an exhibition/conference in Wales, UK. Here are the images I was sent and the final piece I created.
I'm really excited to expand my portfolio to show that the mental health issues we have are global. People in Wales ge...

Here are a couple of images I recently completed for a wife of a RCMP officer who wanted to do something special for her husband. She had them printed on canvas and told me her husband loves them. I really like the image of him with his daughter.
Here's a piece I recently did of the ambulance I work out of. If anyone would like a similar personalized shot of the truck they work out of send me a photo to dansunphotoart@gmail.com. Put 'Mothers Day' in the subject line and get a $50 off!

I wanted to let everyone know that I will be in Cheyenne, Wyoming this Aug 21st and 22nd for the 45th Annual Wyoming Trauma Conference. I will have some of my art pieces on display and will be available to meet and talk with some of my Brothers and Sisters in emergency services.
If you're in the area at that time please stop by, I would love to meet you.
Have a safe weekend everyone.

Making Sense
Sometimes it's hard to comprehend why things happen. Why innocent children are killed or why people do certain things to each other. For a normal person it doesn't make sense why someone would murder a child or torture another human to death. Why would a whole family be killed in a car accident just because they had a flat? Why does a loving father die in front of his family while eating dinner because he choked on a chicken bone? it does not compute!!! It's hard...

Another family is suffering in Oklahoma after an OHP Trooper was hit and killed by an inattentive driver while working a rollover on the highway. Here's a piece I did for the family. Rest easy Trooper Dees.

Here's the image I did for the family that I mentioned in my last post a few days ago. This picture was taken just hours after this girl and her 2 siblings witnessed their father getting killed in a car accident and their Grandmother getting flown by STARS to a trauma center. Their Mother mentioned to me how helpful Lucy was to them and now just seeing images of her bring her children comfort.

This is Lucy. She's a Special Services dog working with the Victim Services Unit in my area. It's a pilot project and I was asked to do a portrait of her and her partner Odie.
I recently received this message from a family that Lucy helped and she gave me permission to share it.
"I have quietly watched as you add more of your art and it is so wonderful it is on our gift list for the first responders in our family. I saw your post with Lucy and thought I would ask if you woul...
