A man was fighting for his life early Monday after being involved in a Staten Island crash, officials said.
EMS workers responding to a 911 call discovered the man, unconscious inside a white pickup truck, at Hylan Blvd. and Great Kills Rd. in Great Kills about 10:50 p.m. Sunday, an FDNY spokesman and a witness said.
The man was taken to Staten Island University Hospital in serious condition, authorities said.
It was not immediately clear if he was a passenger or the driver of the vehicle.

The pickup was the only vehicle involved in the crash, which occurred along a residential strip of Hylan Blvd., the FDNY spokesman said.
The truck jumped a curb, rammed into a fence and ended up perpendicular to the roadway.
