The Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Foundation and Captain Billy Burke Foundation announced on March 23 that they will hold the first annual Tower Climb honoring Captain Billy Burke of Engine Company 21 on May 17 at One World Trade Center.

During the announcement at the quarters of Engine Company 21 in Manhattan, Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Foundation CEO Frank Siller said that the climb, which will be officially called 'The Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Foundation Presents A Tower Climb Honoring Captain Billy Burke', enrolled its first registrant - Miss New York 2014 Jillian Tapper.

"Our Foundation couldn't be more honored to be chosen to hold the first stair-climb event at One World Trade Center," he said. "It would be perfect if this climb would raise enough funds to build one home for a veteran."

"Billy would be humbled and grateful to know that in his memory funds are going to be raised to assist military heroes who have suffered devastating injuries, and to help ensure that children who have lost parents in war will still be able to obtain the education they wish," said Captain Burke's brother Michael, Board Member of The Captain Billy Burke Foundation.

The he stair climb will ascend 180 flights of stairs to the 90th floor of One World Trade Center. "The Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Foundation is truly an extraordinary organization which has done so much good since that terrible day 14 years ago," Fire Commissioner Daniel Nigro said. "And now today, in the name of Captain William Burke, the Captain of Engine Company 21 on September 11th, the Tunnel to Towers Foundation will again 'do so much good.'"
