Extreme Cold Is Upon Us
Friday, February 13, 2015
If you're planning to venture outside over the next few days, make sure you grab some extra layers.
On top of bitterly cold temperatures, the region may see modest snowfall tomorrow into early Sunday.
National Weather Service meteorologist David Stark says temps will likely stay in the lower teens Friday, but the windchill will make that feel more like 5-to-10 degrees below. And then Saturday, the forecast indicates it may warm up to freezing. Light snow is also expected.
Monday will be even colder. Lows are expected to hit just one degree, tying a record low set in 1888.
