LOS ANGELES — "Stevie, I can't put it any other way: You're f*cking great."
Paul McCartney's forthright compliment was just one of many personal spoken or musical tributes dedicated to Stevie Wonder during the taping of the Songs In The Key Of Life — An All-Star Grammy Salute, a show that will air Feb. 16 at 9 p.m. ET on CBS.
The Recording Academy roped in a who's who in music to perform Wonder's hits. The event was named after his 1976 album that has become a favorite among the music elite such as Elton John, George Michael, Michael Jackson, Whitney Houston and Mariah Carey.
The night launched with Beyoncé singing "Fingertips," the 1963 track Wonder unleashed when he was 13, before Ed Sheeran and Gary Clark Jr. joined her on two songs.
A montage of Wonder's contributions to the civil rights movement, including his major influence on turning Martin Luther King, Jr.'s birthday into national holiday, introduced Wonder near the end of the night before he capped it with an eight-song set.
Here's a complete setlist of what you'll see and hear on CBS:

1. Beyoncé — "Fingertips"

2. Beyoncé and Ed Sheeran — "Master Blaster (Jammin')"
