The Yeppoon Incident Control Centre is the perfect example of all agencies coming together to get the job done. All branches of QFES including urban fire, rural fire, SES and Emergency Management as well as Queensland Police Service,  Queensland National Parks and Livingstone Shire Council are working together in perfect harmony.

We're asking all residents affected by ‪#‎TCMarcia‬ and using generators to stay safe. Don't put your life at risk. Only use safe extension leads and exercise caution when plugging generators in to power points.

While Queensland’s dedicated SES volunteers are saviours to those waiting for assistance, their orange overalls are no armour to mother nature’s wrath. But for Livingstone SES deputy controller Warren Spreadborough, damage to his own property did nothing to stop his desire to help his community.
"I live in Cawarral and it was flattened," Mr Spreadborough said.
"The Livingstone SES has over 100 members but in my case, I had to cut my way out of my driveway, then I had to cut my way down the road before I could get out and help others.”
To read more about Mr Spreadborough and about the SES response in the wake of ‪#‎TCMarcia‬, visit the QFES Newsroom.

Joe Daboul is one many RFSQ volunteers who has journeyed to Rockhampton to lend a helping hand and be a supportive shoulder for residents after ‪#‎TCMarcia‬.
"One job that has stuck with me was a family - the husband was ill, the son was disabled and their backyard was full of tree debris that would have taken one man three to four days to clear,” he said.
"We got a team of 10 there and had it cleared up in an hour and the family were very appreciative, even offering to donate to the brigade."
To hear more about Joe’s experiences on the ground in the recovery zone as well his fellow volunteers, read more on the QFES Newsroom.

A message from the good folks at the Department of Transport and Main Roads (Queensland)
A large amount of debris has built up around the Granville Bridge on the Mary River, Maryborough. This does not present any risk to the bridge however it is possible that the debris will break up and may present a risk to boats or anyone entering the water.
