A tabby named Butterscotch escaped a burning Brooklyn brownstone with all her nine lives intact thanks to firefighters who pulled the cat and a dog to safety Thursday.
Butterscotch and a hound named Sonny were rescued from the blaze on Windsor Place near 11th Ave. in Windsor Terrace and were given oxygen until they were up on their paws again, officials said.
The fire erupted inside the basement of the brownstone at about 10:45 a.m. and was extinguished in about 15 minutes.
In addition to the two animals, six of the 106 firefighters fighting the blaze suffered minor injuries, officials said. Three of the smoke-eaters were treated at Methodist Hospital, and the remaining three were taken to New York Maimonides Hospital, officials said.
