"Alphavile" --or City Planning such as it often is, now in Summer

What I have always called the "Alphaville" area of Kips Bay down near NYU Medical School..

Only time I have seen this place come alive was when they had a huge street rummage sale here with people selling every kind of second hand item imaginable.

Otherwise, it looks more fit for robots than for human beings...which happens all too often with these "planned" urban spaces...
