Guinness Billboard

Place called Paddy Reilly's Pub in Kips Bay has outer walls festooned with very large old Guinness posters...I would actually call them small billboards. Have posted some in the past.

I never noticed this one before ...it really is kind of odd.

By the way, a woman who I considered something of an alcoholic once told me her doctor had told her to just drink nothing but Guinness stout. This was way way back of course...today most everyone is on the bandwagon of "all or nothing" when it comes to alcohol, meaning, what your brain chemistry is doing when it comes to handling alcohol...

There are SOME really moderate-low scale drinkers who are happy to be so.

I had an uncle who many years ago used to come from his job every night, have one stein of beer ( sometimes, rarely, two) and ONE cigar and that was it. Of course he would have another drink if it was a holiday, but I never saw him even vaguely drunk once.

He lived to be about 94 and was extremely lucid to the end...he got very little exercise, too,
but was not in bad shape.

Genetics, it seems to me, has more to do with what happens to us than we like to recognize.

So go ahead, drink Guinness, but remember it may or may not be good for you..
