Back in the 1980's, buildings started going co-op and one of the first things people wanted to do now that THEY owned their apartment was do something about these stupid old 1920's kitchens..
Then places like Bway Kitchens...I remember it as the first..appeared with all these new-fangled ideas about sub zero freezers and refrigerators and granite countertops and designer floors and sinks, every style of cabinetry imaginable..
Today, of course, nothing could be more commonplace.
