Here at Lexington and 61st is a ...well, a cupcake store.
These are again not the healthiest items around but I certainly liked them a lot as a kid...I associated them with little parties we had at school.
It also reminds me of a classic episode of "The Simpsons," where one of Bart's "pranks" ( malicious practical joke, in other words) gets his teacher Edna Krabapple fired.
To make amends, Bart stumbles on and proudly presents his former teacher with an inspirtational video ( a send up of every obscure inspirational video ever made that promises the true secret path to success...with opening words something like, "Alexander the Great knew it, Cleopatra knew it, Napoleon knew it..." and the usual silly stuff like that...like a compendium of the worst teasiest come on lines for any kind of late night Infomercial or internet ad for some miracle cure or product...
It all ends with Bart convincing Edna to put all her life savings into opening a cupcake shop...
Now she will be fulfilled, having done something she always wanted to do...unfortunately, about a half dozen OTHER new cupcake shops open in Springfield at the same time.
Things go from bad to worse but somehow all is well that ends well...almost...Bart and his fellow students find they will be eating all the stale unsold cupcakes from Edna's store as part of the solution to this...
Oh, great, I found a link to this
