  • Johnny Fuego A few of these are common issues. Can't believe protective hoods are not used everywhere. Unions often fight fitness initiatives. Not wearing ear flaps or chin straps properly is often on the firefighter, simple enough to do. My mask has never been tested. Anyone being honest knows that lots of guys like beat up equipment. Some guys never wash their gear. It's not tough, it's reckless.

  • Mary Gantt Who really benefits here? If it's coming legislators it's not us. Not anyone but local governments who want squeeze more out of you guys. Services, that might have been paid by insurance or Medicare/Medicaid, are paid by municipalities. Just wanting more work from workers without paying for it. It dilutes the need for nurses, too. RESIST!

  • Dee Ried This is a super idea along with having vehicles with paramedics and nurse practitioners handle 911 calls that are for medical reasons and not fire! Makes no sense to send a Fire truck on a medical call! Trucks that are similar to the BC trucks, loaded with medical equipment to save lives !!
