Dusk Falls on the Big Apple

One of the more interesting aspects of twilight in Manhattan is how you see how they have changed the lighting on the Empire State Building again...they are always changing it to celebrate or note something ( an historical event, a holiday, etc.)

The lighting of the Empire State Building has been going on for many years now. Back in the 1980's, I met the artist/light expert who did the first lightings...

People just take them for granted now. Often they show the Empire State on the 11 p.m. news  here and tell you what it is lit up for this time.
