A hit-and-run in Brooklyn has left a pedestrian in "very critical" condition, according to the FDNY.
Authorities said a man was hit by a vehicle at the intersection of Rockaway Parkway and Glenwood Road in Canarsie at about 8:30 p.m. Friday.
EMS transported the victim to Brookdale Hospital.
Police did not immediately release a description of the vehicle that fled the scene, but a witness said it appeared to be a red SUV.
Isaiah Sutton said the driver was turning off Rockaway when the vehicle zoomed past a light and hit the pedestrian, who "flipped in the air and dropped onto the ground."
The vehicle stopped briefly, then continued on, said Sutton.
