In this episode of Food and Thought, Lisa Marcus, a 2nd year student in the Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy Program, will present a challenging case to Howard Kogan, one of TI's most revered psychotherapists. Refreshments will be served.
Howard J Kogan is a psychotherapist and poet. Howard began training in TI’s first-ever Psychoanalytic Program in 1967 and graduated with the first class in 1973. He has been in private practice for over 33 years as well as a Director for a Family Service Agency, Director of Community Services, Director of Training, and Executive Director at TI from 1999 through 2010. Howard practices analysis from both Freudian and Relational models. His poems have appeared in Still Crazy, Occupoetry, Poetry Ark, Farming Magazine, Pathways, Literary Gazette and an number of other publications including Award Winning Poems from Smith’s Tavern Poet Laureate Contest 2010 and 2011 Editions. His book of poems, Indian Summer, was published in 2011 and is available from Amazon.com.
