A Wish Come True
Six-year-old Jonathan Lo spent Wednesday with the NYPD and members of  Make-A-Wish America. All the way from Washington state, Jonathan came to NYC with family where his wish to visit with members of the NYPD came true as he was given a tour of a precinct, met some of our canines, as well as Mounted and Emergency Service officers. The day also included a visit to Headquarters for some lunch with a group of very lucky cops and a honorary promotion to captain.

  • Victoria Wilkinson-Anderson When we left our fireworks show last night at Midland Beach on Staten Island the NYPD helped us cross the street. The police officer saw my youngest and smiled asking, "Do I have any customers to cross the street? Come on over!". My daughter put the biggest smile on and it was a great way to end the night! Thanks NYPD for helping us get safely home!
  • Dolly Turner I cannot thank them enough, I stopped to say 'Hello' and "thank you" to each one that I came in contact with on the street. I saw people walked past these officers in downtown Manhattan as if they don't exist. People a simple 'Hello' help to make their day. They are humans watching our backs, to help making sure we stay safe on these streets while we go about our business. Stay bless officers

Bomb Squad members were able to safely move the package out of harms way of thousands of visitors at the fair.
After moving the package to another location, the package was deemed to be a legitimate bo...

  • Iris Ann Manning-Shulman Thank you to those brave men for their service and their sacrifice. My husband was there right about that time with his mother. He was 5 years old and they could have possibly been victims if not for the courage of those NYPD officers. God bless them all!

What a great day to celebrate the US Women's National Soccer Team's World Cup win. Thousands of people attended the parade up the "Canyon of Heroes" on Broadway with it ending in a ceremony in front of City Hall.
The men and women of the NYPD were on hand to ensure everyone had a safe and fun time.
