FDNY rescue two people in Hudson River
WEST VILLAGE, Manhattan — FDNY and NYPD are bringing two people out of the Hudson River.
Preliminary reports say one person jumped into the river near Charles Street, and a second person went in to rescue them.
The would-be rescuer has been taken out of the water. This individual is reported to be in”okay” condition.
Divers were still searching for the person who jumped in, who is submerged. Marine boat 1-Alpha retrieved the victim and administered CPR.
The two are on a fireboat coming back to shore.
