Today, the FDNY remembers FF Daniel S Pujdak, TL-146, who died in the line of duty on June 21, 2007 while operating at Brooklyn Box 77-75-0247 at the address 83 Meserole St. The fire was in a 4 story non-fireproof converted factory building, fire located on the top floor. FF Pujdak dismounted the aerial to the bulkhead then tried lowering himself to the main roof when he lost his balance and fell to 5 stories. He was only 23 year old.

  • Laurie Galioto I must say that the annual posting of a mock answer key immediately after a FDNY test is an unfair practice when test re-takers get to take the identical test at a later date. Why the rush, when others still have to take the same test? (Fyi, I am not a test-taker)

Test day is upon us. Today, 2200 FDNY firefighters take a competitive written exam in attempt to achieve promotion to Lieutenant. Promotions are still based on merit. They have studied for days, months, even years. Any length, all made the decision to better themselves at their job; that alone is commendable. Whether you make the list or not, your still a New York City Firefighter, the best damn job on earth. Good luck all!
