Tornado devastates German town
A German town was left badly damaged after a tornado ripped through it on Tuesday. The small town of Buetzow, near Rostock, was devastated by the tornado, which blew roof tiles off buildings and hurled cars 70m (230ft) through the air.
Violent storms affected many parts of northern Europe, with over 230,000 lightning strikes recorded in a 24-hour period.
BBC Weather's Matt Taylor reported for BBC World about this violent storm and the forecast for the coming days.
